Heavy Equipment

The Heavy Equipment program is for those students who wish to make a career of operating and/or maintaining heavy equipment.  Students will have the opportunity to operate a wide variety of equipment such as rollers, backhoes, Bobcats, dump trucks, excavators, bulldozers, and track loaders.  Curriculum includes knowledge of road construction, grade and elevation, excavation, sewer and water lines, 6 weeks of CDL training, and many other application-based activities.  Safety and preventative maintenance are continually stressed.  This is a one-year program with students being encouraged to add a second year of study in Diesel Technology.
