Mission Statement:
The Southeastern Career Center provides students with technical skills integrated with academic knowledge while promoting work ethics, citizenship, and self-esteem to prepare them for careers in business  and industry. In addition, we provide them a foundation for post secondary education and advanced technical training.
School History and Profile:
History:
The Southeastern Indiana Vocational School was formed in 1965 and became Indiana’s first area vocational school. Many other area schools throughout the state have been modeled after the SIVS plan. The current building was opened   in the fall of the 1966-67 school year. In 1980, an additional building was added   to provide an instructional are for auto and diesel service areas. In 1987, the name of the school was changed to the Southeastern Career Center.
Geographical Location:
The southeastern corner of the state of Indiana is the home of SCC. The school provides technical training to students and adults in a six-county area. Counties include Dearborn, Ohio, Jefferson, Jennings, Ripley, and Switzerland.
Student Body:
Nearly 800 students are enrolled at the Career Center for the 2002-03 school year. Students will attend their "home" school during half of the day and SCC during the other half. Schools attending the Career Center include Batesville,   East Central, Jac-Cen-Del, Jennings County, Lawrenceburg, Madison, Milan,   Rising Sun, South Dearborn, South Ripley, Southwestern, and Switzerland   County.
