Erik Gunter is a student from Batesville High School in the Welding 2 Program. Erik is the son of Roger and Connie Gunter. He is involved in the capstone program where he has been working as a part-time welder at Wood-Mizer in Batesville, Indiana. After graduating, Erik will be continuing at Wood-Mizer in a full-time Welder 1 position where he will be welding on industrial equipment. Gabe Jackson is in the Welding 2 Program and is a student from Switzerland County High School. Gabe is the son of Mark and Erin Jackson. Gabe has enlisted in the Marine Corps after graduating from SCC. After completing his enlistment, Gabe has a career goal of becoming a full-time welder. Jade Smith is in the Health Science 2 Program. Her home school is Milan High School. Jade is the daughter of Jeff and Debbie Smith. Her father, Jeff, passed away in December. Despite this unforeseen heartbreak during her Senior year, Jade has persevered. She is in the Capstone Program where she works as a CNA at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, Indiana. Jade will be continuing with St. Andrews full-time after graduation where she can continue to make her residents feel safe and happy to know that she has made a difference in their lives.
