Over the weekend, Electrical II had 5 students travel to Prosser Education Center to compete in the Construction Wireman Competition. Domingo Ceto from South Ripley finished 3rd and won some nice tools. Congratulations!!

The Southeastern Career Center is closed today, Thursday February 20, 2025. This will be an eLearning Day. Assignments will be posted by 9:00 a.m.
With February being National Dental Health Month, Southeastern Career Center Dental Careers 1 (Jennings County juniors: Nathan, Bailey and Allie) went to Hayden Elementary School and gave Dental presentations to the kindergarten students and the 1st grade students.
Thank you to Hayden for allowing us to come in to teach the students about Dental health.
The Building and Facilities class at the Southeastern Career Center, want to express our most sincere gratitude to Kerry Patterson (Head of Operations) and the rest of the staff at Casemakes in Osgood, Indiana. The afternoon class toured Casemakes on 2-11-25, in which we were given an informative tour and had a Q and A session about important traits to obtain, maintain, and sustain employment. Additionally, during the valuable experience, we were presented with generous gifts from the Casemakes business and staff.
We are very grateful for their personable hospitality and generosity.
Participants include students from South Ripley High School, Jennings County High School, Batesville High School. Additional participants include New Horizons Rehabilitation Inc, and FSSA (Family and Social Services Administration) Vocational Rehabilitation.

SCC Adult Education and RVR are offering a FREE Pre-Apprenticeship Welding Class. Earn OSHA 10 & AWS Certification (upon passing required tests). Program will provide the skills needed for an entry-level welding position or to enter a pre-apprenticeship. Pre-apprenticeship provided by IKORCC.

We would like to thank Matt from Robert Jones Plumbing for coming to talk to our afternoon electrical, building trades, and heavy equipment classes! Matt shared information about the plumbing industry and how students can become employed with the company after graduation.
